It turns out the huge win for the Riders in November’s Grey Cup was a huge win for Saskatchewan too.
In a news release, the Saskatchewan Roughriders said the economic impact of the Grey Cup and its festival was equivalent to a $93 million shot in the arm for the province; $68 million of which impacted Regina, specifically.
The Riders compared that to 400 full-year jobs, $21 million in wages and salaries, and over $14 million in new tax revenues.
